How to create Strong Passwords and Remember them

Let us assume that my password is ‘mNik8+1’.  Strong Passwords similar to this cannot be cracked by any hackers or scammers.  The question is how did I come up with it?  Well, I will explain about in this article. Recently one of my friends included his Girlfriend name in his facebook password.  One day someone logged into his account, and It’s nonother than his girlfriend.  Their relationship got ruined just because of a bad Password. With the amount of data, people put online keeping our data protected is apparently important.  Few of the most common passwords used by the people like ‘ilovemygirl123’ and the very original password which surely are not very secure.

Password

So, the question arises, what is the best way to secure our password online whether it’s on our Facebook, Gmail, Twitter or more important like Internet Banking? A good password is one that is difficult for other people to guess but easy for you to remember.  It should be tough to guess both for people you know as well as malicious attackers who might make more guesses to figure out your password.

Examples of Good Passwords & Bad Passwords

So the problem is that people aren’t choosing secure passwords they’re choosing the dictionary words they’re picking the names of their favorite actor or choosing the name of their Girlfriend/Boyfriend or even the name of their Laptop brand sitting in front of them. So you need to choose passwords which are hard for people to get.  Never use a dictionary password and use passwords which are a jumble of letters and numbers and funny characters instead.

How to Create Strong Passwords?

Of course, a complicated password can make it much harder to remember.  So how are you going to choose one of these non-dictionary passwords well?  Let’s take a look. My Name is Kedar 8 + 1 = 9 (My Lucky Number) What I’m going to do now is I’m going to take the first letter of each of these words we have

myNameiskedar8+1

Here, by taking all the letter which have bold, we will get “mNik8+1”.  This is the strong password. Spammers, Hackers, and scammers all try to gain the access your accounts.  There are thousands of ways to trick you.  You need a fortified Password which they won’t be able to crack. In this article, we are discussing few ways to create strong passwords.

Use Passphrases instead of Passwords

Passphrase

You can use passPHRASE instead of using passWORDS.  “I am Just 25 Now” something like this is super easy to remember and has very chances to get hacked.  In other ways, it is easy to remember as you choose the phrase which will happen in your life. Use both Uppercase & Lower case letters with numbers in your passphrase.  Most of the websites & software accepts the space in your password.  So, don’t hesitate to use it. Keep updating your passphrase regularly and don’t tell it to anyone.

Few more Examples

My giRl Frnd is not tIna [My Girl Friend is not Tina] IloVepiZZA2times  [I Love Pizza two Times] I have 3 tShirts [I have three Tshirts]

Include smileys in your passwords

Smiley Password

Smileys are funny and easy to remember.  We remember visual information better than text information.  So, we can easily remember smileys which are included in our passwords. There is very less chance where hackers guess that you have used a smiley in your password. Smileys in addition to characters and number make the password strong and become harder to crack by the hacker.  Instead of other symbols you can always use basing smiley symbols in your password, and they are easy to remember. Including smileys can make your password 100% stronger.  Look at the below image by Password Meter.

Password Meter

I included all the requirements like Capital letter, characters, Numbers, and symbols.  To remember the symbol easily, I added a basic smiley.  Some websites & software also supports Emojis.

Examples

iLyKsM123:-)    [I Love You Kedar So much 123 🙂 ] MdIG:-)12697 [My dad Is Great :-)12697 ] iAvBta12365:-P [I am beautiful than anyone 12365 :-P]

Phonetic Passwords

Phonetic Password

This is the best way to create a strong password and remember it.  It’s had to crack the passwords by hackers and scammers.  You can learn about Phonetic language here By including numbers, capital letters & symbols, the password will become much stronger with phonetic technique and make easier to remember it.  You can translate normal English words into phonetic words by going to easy pronunciation website. You can also use Phonetic Password Generator tool to create strong Phonetic Password.  This tool helps you to create a strong password with numbers & symbols.

Examples

maɪneɪmiZ+Jhonny12 [ My name is + Jhonny 12 ] aIaEmveRigUd123        [ I Am Very Good 123 ]

Use Song Lyrics in Password

Lyrical Passwords

It sounds funny, right?  We always remember song lyrics than the Academic syllabus.  This is the best way to create a strong password and easy to remember it.  Use all the first characters from your favorite song lyric sentence.  Add symbols and numbers to it.

Examples:

iMiLwtsO+y:)123 [I’m in love with the shape of you] yJwA+ydWmH:123 [You just want attention, you don’t want my heart] This combination of a password is hard to crack by hackers, scammers & spammers.

Use Password Managers

If you can’t manage or remember passwords, these tools will help you to create, update & remember the passwords safely.  These tools provide random new passwords when needed and stored within them. My recommendation is LastPass.  It is a cloud-based password manager for many businesses.  All you need to do is remember one master password that gives access to all your passwords stored in LastPass.  This tool integrates nicely into your browser and supports almost any device even on your mobile. The encrypted data is stored safely and can be retrieved anywhere with the master password.

Are password managers safe to use?

Almost every password manager works as same.  Your passwords are encrypted in a secured databases in the cloud and cannot be cracked by anyone without your master password.  Even if government need your password, they need to collect the master password to crack all the data stored in Password management tools. Some managers built within your browsers and some can be available for every device.  some managers stores encrypted data file in local device and to get access you need your master password. For people who can create or remember more than 5 passwords can use secured password managers like LastPass or iPassword.  These tools help in a great way to secure & remember your strong passwords.

Conclusion

There are many other password ideas which can give you strong protection to your online accounts.  These are the most creative and secure ideas.  Always change your password regularly and secure it in a safe place. If you know few more Ideas, please leave a comment below. 🙂
